The EBM in South Africa
In South Africa, the EBM works together with the Baptist Convention of South Africa (BCSA). This partnership initially began with a visit by the German Youth Congregation Project (Gemeindejugendwerk) in 1987. Regina Claas was sent as the first EBM missionary to the Baptist Convention in South Africa in 1994 to develop social services.
Over the years there have always been different points of focus. Depending on the needs, European employees are appointed to different areas of service in the BCSA. Currently Anna and Johannes Meyer as well as Regina Claas are working as European missionaries in South Africa.
The EBM invests € 155,000 per year in different BCSA projects.
