Franck San Juan is a missionary who takes the gospel to the people in the slums (Solar) in the heart of Havana with passion. He goes to see all of them, including gangsters. He himself was one of them before he was converted. The government employees are quite astonished when they notice the positive changes in the “Solar Zaldo” area, where the first mission church was founded. Today, Franck is the pastor of this recently founded Baptist church. He is authentic, he speaks the people’s language, his heart is on fire for them and for Jesus.

By now, the church with its 150 members cares for 500 people in the Zaldo area, providing also hands-on help: they distribute food packages and provide counselling.

The problems in this area are simply overwhelming, yet never before has so much positive change been brought about as by his work and by the church. It is simply awe-inspiring, and we praise the Lord for it!

Franck has now started to work in another eleven slums of the capital.
