School for young women – Saare Tabitha

Saare Tabitha is a skills training centre for young women from the age of 16. Every year more than 30 pupils start a practical training in sewing, combined with general classes thus preparing them to start their own business. Cathérine Kolyang from Cameroon is the principal of the school. In the meantime more than 350 young women have finished a degree at the school which gives them the opportunity for a safe and independent life. In times where the terror of the Boko Haram sect is threatening the region the educational work of Saare Tabitha is very important. Saare Tabitha has already received many prices for their outstanding work.
