Donations for MASA

  • Projects | Pastor Horst Borkowski was deeply moved by the children’s misery and by the inner and outer hardship of the Amerindians.
    • APPLICATION AREA
      • > Argentina | Different Projects of EBM MASA in Argentina: children's homes, food programmes for children...
      • > Brazil | Different projects of EBM MASA in Brazil. Children's homes, social centres...
      • > Bolivia | A new mission project is being launched in El Alto, a city neighbouring La Paz with a population of more than 1 million. Poverty, crime and occult practices dominate the lives of people in this city.
      • > Peru | There is cooperation in the evangelistic mission projects among the Quechua (descendants of the Inca people) in the Apurimac and Cusco regions as well as in La Libertad Province in northern Peru.
      • > Cuba | There is great poverty, and the economy is collapsing. In these very situations, the churches experience unusual growth as they have a convincing missionary charisma.
  • Children & social projects | There is hardly any church in Latin America that is not in touch with children who are neglected, maltreated or sexually abused and who are denied what we would call a normal life.
    • MASA: Sponsoring children | Neglected, abandoned or abused children find protection and a home in our children’s homes in Latin America. Without our help, they would have no chances.
    • ARGENTINA
      • > Children's home "Norberto F. Haase" | Parents disappearing for some reason or another or being unable to raise their children, children who are maltreated or sexually abused, children who are abandoned or who are unwanted eaters. Where can these children go?
      • > MANNA | The MANNA Programme has been developed in Argentina; the Spanish acronym stands for „Charity for neglected children“.
      • > Food programme for children in Mendoza | Hunger is painful and makes you despair. This is the experience of many children in a slum near Mendoza. In a social centre on the outskirts of the city, some 250 of them receive a hot meal every day.
      • > PEPE | „PEPE“ is the name of the successful pre-school programme that the churches in some slums intend to offer children who would otherwise have no chances.
    • BRAZIL
      • > Children's home „Criança Feliz“ | You may contribute to giving these children a new chance in life by sponsoring a specific child or by supporting the home as such.
      • > Children's home "Henrique Liebich" | After Heinrich Liebich’s death in 1973, MASA built a children’s village with ten family houses and an outbuilding.
      • > PEPE | „PEPE“ is the name of the successful pre-school programme that the churches in the slums of Brazil offer children who would otherwise have no chances.
      • > Social Centre in Diadema | Many people live in favelas, as the slums are called in Latin America. The drug scene has been firmly established, and hundreds of young people fall victim to drug trafficking murders...
      • > Social Centre in Ijuí | In Ijuí, many children are exposed to the drug scene and other risks. Their parents have to work to make a living and cannot take care of them.
      • > Work with deaf children | Among the poor population, there is hardly any help and little understanding for people with this handicap.
    • BOLIVIA
    • PORTUGAL
      • > Children's home in Porto | All of them come from the most adverse of adverse environments – orphans, street children and children who had to be saved because of abuse and crime in their families.
  • Missionaries and co-workers | We cooperate exclusively with national workers, support them financially in their ministry and facilitate their training and continuation training.
    • > Arturo Köbernick | MASA Representative Pastor Arturo Köbernick from Argentina serves in the Spanish-speaking countries.
    • > Airton Nickel | Concerning project management in Brazil, Pastor Airton Nickel, a Brazilian, is our representative and liaison person.
  • Evangelism and church planting | We are thrilled to witness how people experience sweeping renewal by believing in Christ Jesus.
    • ARGENTINA
      • > Mapuche in Patagonia | The lives and the ministry of this couple take the assurance into many a Mapuche hut that God has not neglected them, and this affects their whole lives.
      • > Guaranis in Argentina | The Guarani live in the virgin forests of Misiones in Argentina. They are delicately-boned people, most of them rather small.
      • > El Impenetrable | Here is the home of people who live in a world of their own, which is dominated by superstition, ignorance and despair.
      • > Alto Uruguay | God has been using Oscar’s ministry: Time and again, there are impressive conversions, a reason for great joy. We intend to continue supporting and promoting these projects.
    • BRAZIL
      • > Ijuí | This conviction was put into practice when a mission church was founded in Ijuí in connection with the Children’s Home.
      • > Cotia | So a new church, a mission project, was launched in this city neighbouring São Paulo.
      • > Mission to the Pomeranians | Some 120,000 Pomeranians (of German descent) live here in great poverty and void of any prospects. Superstition and occult practices dominate their lives.
    • BOLIVIA
      • > El Alto | The new project will integrate social assistance to many destitute people, training for missionary workers and evangelism and church-planting work.
    • CUBA
      • > Daniel Gonzalez | Daniel González, MASA missionary on the Isle of Youth in Cuba until 2007, applies the experience gained there on the main island now, with MASA supporting him in this endeavour.
      • > Bible Clubs in Havana | In the Bible Clubs, the children are provided a meal, they are offered homework tutoring, told Bible stories, and basic values in life are conveyed to them.
      • > Solar Zaldo | He goes to see all of them, including gangsters. He himself was one of them before he was converted. The government employees are quite astonished when they notice the positive changes in the “Solar Zaldo” area, where the first mission church was founded.
      • > Sayas B. Honda | Supporting this project means that more and more Cubans may experience the power of the gospel!
      • > Las Tunas | Many people commit their lives to Jesus and very quickly become evangelists themselves because they are so thrilled by what they are experiencing with Jesus.
      • > Isle of Youth | About 10 years ago, MASA launched missionary work in Cuba. Daniel Gonzalez became the missionary for evangelism and church-planting on the Isle of Youth.
    • PERU
      • > Quechua | The religious world of these people is a mixture of Inca traditions and popular Catholic influences. The Bible, God’s Word, was widely unknown, and the Gospel even less.
      • > Curahuasi | No evangelism without charitable work, and no social projects without proclamation of the gospel.
      • > Yanaoca and region | The people here live in great poverty, for the most part on what the barren soil produces. Their main source of income lies in their sheep, lamas, and alpacas.
      • > Otuzco | Once a year, there are festivities in her honour, and thousands of people come to celebrate. The Virgin dominates the religious thinking of most of the Otuzco people.
      • > Jimbe and region | Evangelism and social commitment are sought-after – in MASA projects, they are always intertwined. Most of the people here – descendants of the Incas – are very poor.
  • Theological training & training of staff | MASA supports bible-based training and continuation training for the numerous staff in our social ministry projects and in the churches.
    • ARGENTINA
      • CEFOLÍ and Oberá Bible School | Should this mean that they do not qualify for responsible leadership? Must they remain dependent on missionaries for ever? We could no longer dodge these questions...
    • BRAZIL
    • PERU
      • > Adrián Campero / Staff training | The jagged Andes of Peru are home to the Quechua, the descendants of the Incas. The extensive mission work Adrián Campero is in charge of here also includes staff training for missionaries.
    • CUBA
      • > Isle of Youth and Las Tunas | This training is an important foundation for church planting and church growth, and its contents are truly evangelical and mission-oriented.
  • Disaster relief | It happens time and again: Disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, hurricanes, floods, and tsunamis devastate landscapes and vital infrastructure.
