Structure of the European Baptist Mission

 

We have structured our joint work in the following way:   

  • All the important decisions (personnel, strategy, finances, etc.) are made at our annual mission conference – here our partner churches in Africa and South America also have a seat and vote,
  • The day-to-day operations are monitored by the executive board (management circle), which handles the implementation of the resolutions at the mission conference,
  • The mission office in Elstal by Berlin is the contact for all questions about collaboration and the further development of our mission work – here our finances are also carefully recorded,
  • The missionaries in Africa and in South America are employed in practical service on site, in the development of projects and in a trustful collaboration with our partner churches abroad.

 

The overall budget of our mission is mostly financed by donations the purpose of which must be respected. Depending on the purpose, the donations are divided into charitable (for welfare, social purposes) and religious purposes.

The use of these funds is subject to the strict guidelines of the Working Group of Evangelical Missions (AEM), where attention is paid to keeping the administrative costs as low as possible. Our mission is subject to the strict audit criteria of an auditor.
