The Manipur Baptist Convention with its charitable organisation "Compassion Manipur" runs this children's home for "Adivasi." It was built in 2006 and the grand opening took place at the beginning of 2007.

The majority of the 50 children living here are half-orphans that were abandoned by the surviving parent or could no longer be cared for. This includes some complete orphans and children whose parents are still alive, but cannot or do not want to care for their children. This makes it clear that the pervasive poverty primarily affects children not only in the state of Andhra Pradesh, but also in the farthest reaches of Northeast India.

“Compassion” expresses the desire to have sympathy or commiseration. And it is for this compassion that we are very grateful to our supporters. Donations and prayers can also give the children in this remote region hope for a better life.
