A school education? Vocational training? Something that we take for granted is a tremendous privilege for children and young adults in many areas of India. Numerous pupils come from very poor homes so they often do not have the means to pay for a school or vocational training. The school and training are a basis that will determine their lives, since they often decide whether and what future a person has, whether he or she can design and develop his or her life responsibly and independently.
Decades ago, INDIENHILFE (INDIA AID) accepted many of these fates by supporting various training projects with the aid of Indian partners, beginning with child care for small children and extending to preschools and vocational training centres. In some cases, scholarships were awarded to especially talented young men and women who distinguished themselves in the children’s homes through a particularly good performance at school.
EBM INDIA wants to continue this tradition and help the people in India by also providing education opportunities.
