Roughly 250 young men and women can obtain diplomas in general agriculture, carpentry, bricklaying, office work / computer application and dressmaking at the Makama Vocational training Centre of the Baptist Convention of Sierra Leone (BCSL) in the interior of Sierra Leone.

With this education, many graduates receive a good job or work independently.

Some then also attend university, a training facility for teachers or continue their education at the university in Makeni.

Land with classrooms is present, although the building is very old.

Due to the rebel war, many young men and women have had bad experiences, so the social, political and individual situation is often uncertain. Vocational training, however, gives young men and women prospects in their life.
