The EBM in Equatorial Guinea

The missionary work of the EBM in Equatorial Guinea is strongly connected with the Spanish Baptist Union. As early as 1940, they became involved in this small colony, which gained independence in 1968. Only in 1995 were the first missionaries, Ester and Daniel Nanyuls, sent initially to work on the capital island of Malabo. Today, the EBM is involved in the congregation development work of the Baptist Union and its 40 members. In addition to the two large congregations in Malabo and Evinayong, responsibility is also taken for two schools with up to 1,000 children.

Currently, Sarah Marcos Velert (Spain), the couple Julio Cháfer and Dámaris Juárez, Elisabeth Herrera and Marta Nombelo are working as EBM missionary in the country. EBM spends € 110,000 per year for its work in Equatorial Guinea.
